so should I take off the hole engine and i drill a hole or i directly drill the hole without the engine off because if i drilled a hole Iron filings will fall inside the hole

Sorry, I am misunderstanding your question, your suppose to drain the oil just enough so when you drill the hole oil will be right below the hole. Then start with a small bit and work up to keep shaving sizes minimal. You can pack the bit with grease also to try to hold the shavings. The instructions are very clear on what to do here. Good luck.

In the instructions they show the fitting on the drivers side corner of the pan (just to the right of your hand). I actually left all the oil in my pan when I drilled my pan, kinda makes a mess but the oil trying to come out of the hole imo helped push the shavings out as you drill. Just find something to plug the hole will you change bits.

You need to drill the hole above your normal oil level. The measurement is on the instructions. If you drill below your normal oil level the oil drain will back up and the car will smoke.
Drill the as stated in the instructions 1/8" then your final size with grease. This will have the least amount of aluminum fall in. Try to stop right before you go through and clean off the shavings and re-grease. Then drain your oil. If you want pour oil in after you drain it to flush anymore chips out.
By the way.. Do not try and drill higher than the measurement given. You can drill into the windage tray or baffle. I found that out the hard way.

I didn't see your post till after i posted. Your drain ended up below the oil level? I guess mine was leaned back on jack stands and didn't leak. Anyways no smoking out of mine yet.

Yea unfortunatley. I have been in a mess. I drilled the hole to where the bottom of the 9/16 hole was a fuzz above 3" (like a 1/16") and the fitting was still under oil. If i went any higher I wouldve hit the baffle.

Long story short, I plugged that hole and retapped about 1/2" from main top of pan on the driver side front. Right above his hand in the pic is pretty close.

I hear you. I got lucky and just nipped the bottom of the baffle. It did make it a pita to tap though.

It wasn't too bad where I tapped mine. I had to take the sway bar loose an the hot wire to starter. It put the fitting just above baffle. Haven't had any problems since.

Good Lord. That must suck. I think I'd have to either pull the pan or the entire engine if I had to go that route. The chances of shavings falling inside the pan would make me cringe.

Where did you drill for the drain? Like stated above, if your below the oil level it will not drain properly.
