Most of the popular wheel cleaners are safe on matte finishes. Adam's, Meg's, etc. You shouldn't have to use a wheel cleaner often if you keep them clean with the regular washes.

I feel like investing in a nice lug nut was brush as sometimes its hard to get into that spot with your wash mit and i figured why not check out a good wheel cleaner. Ive seen this one in youtube videos that changes to like a purplish color when apply to the wheel and it comes into contact with contaminates but idk the name.

Sonax, wheel woolies and good lug nut brush are all you need. I only deep clean my wheels every now and again. Usually just soap and water.

Soap and water for regular cleanings (is there an echo in here? ) and then every month or so I do a more heavy cleaning with Deep Wheel Cleaner. Usually the faces are fine, its the barrel that needs more of a heavy duty clean job.

I use a recessed lug nut brush and speed master wheel brush works really good. http://www.autogeek.net/apbrus.html

I think I bought my Sonax from autogeek. I haven't tried Adams yet but I will eventually, I'm happy with all of their other products but the Sonax has great reviews and I can see why.
