Maybe a "Dakota" Club of some kind? There are no clubs around Fargo, except for an exclusive "snobby" old man club that only welcomes you if you have a $140k custom hot rod. Oh and there's a "ricer" club too, but I don't swing that way! I've talked to a few Camaro owners up here and all have agreed it would be great to have a "real" car club around. During the summer, we have an awesome cruise night on the first Thursday of every month. It really has a huge turn out. But I understand, it's kinda hard to make a long trip on a Thursday though. Well, whatever, maybe we could have regional branches or something... Just thinkin' out loud...

Sorry for the slow reply. How many have an interest up there in ND? We're less than 200 miles apart. Not a bad ride on a nice day!

Oh, I'm sure if I was to put a "request for interest" up in the ND thread, I would get some good responses. With more to come over the summer as I meet and greet people at Car Shows and such.
But what are you thinking, would this be a 5th Gen only club, or all Camaros, or all Chevy, or all GM, etc.... what are your thoughts on this? Personally, I'd say the more the merrier!!!

I'm seriously considering starting an ALL Camaro club - 67 to Present. Interest is growing in this area.

Do it!!! I'll sign-up!!! If there is a club website or something, it would be good for tracking members, shows, pics, and upcoming events in the area. If you made up a club business card of some kind, I could pass them out to other Camaro owners I see at car shows or cruises up here in Fargo! This is what I've been wanting to start up here, but I don't have the "know-how" to do it.

You know you have one of the best "Performance Tuners" in the upper Mid-West just north of you in Watertown, right?!?!?

http://www.dynotuneusa.com/

As soon as my warranty expires, I'll be paying them a visit!!! I wonder if they do other stuff besides just "tuning"???

DO you have a lot of different years of Camaros in ND. I would be more than happyto help you get a club or chapter going. If you know anybody with camaros just tell them you are starting a club and tell them to tell everybody they know or see with camaros , also tell your parts stores and chevy dealers that you are starting a club,You have to get the word out.

Yes, I see all years of Camaro's at our cruise nights and car shows! Lot's of participation up here. I tried to arrange a Camaro owners meet-n-greet last summer, and did all those things you mentioned. I handed out flyers at cruise night, the local chevy dealership let me advertise through them, and I put up flyers at a couple parts stores too! I even advertised it here on the Camaro5 website. Unfortunately, the car show promoters (where we were going to have the meet-n-greet) decided to change the rules at the last minute and wanted to charge $35 per car just to get in the gate!! Too much money for non-racing participants!! It didn't work out so well. But everyone I talked to agreed that we very much needed a good car club up here! I don't think I am in the right position right now to devote the time needed to create and manage a full-on car club by myself. But I would be interested in "heading up" a local chapter of some kind of "Dakota's" Camaro Club, or Upper Mid-West Camaro Club, if that's what you're planning on trying to organize? I'll PM you with my e-mail address.

Keith
