Kerry Chevrolet in Alexandria, KY(just across the river from Cincinnati) still has a new left over 2012 ZL1. It's black on black and loaded, carbon fiber hood insert, interior microfiber package, sunroof, and polished wheels. It has a 58k sticker and I think they are asking 54k for it, but I'm betting it can be bought for much less. They've had it for almost a year now and I figure that they should be desperate to get rid of it by now. The local dealer here just sold their last 2012 ZL1 for 52k, but it didn't have a sunroof or the interior microfiber package. If you do an AutoTrader search there's some clean low mile used one's starting about 48k. I love my SS, but if I could swing a ZL1, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

48k? Dam, thats pretty cheap. Mine is already heavily modded, but if it wasn't, this may have made my mind up. 48K is a decent price for a 580 HP ZL-1 Camaro w/warranty.

I accepted a long time a go, that no matter what mods you do to a SS it's still a SS and worth no more than a SS ... That's why I didn't mod mine !!!

Agreed,

The ZL1 is a terrific vehicle and will definitely become a nice collectible for years to come .

I am in the same situation as you my SS is paid for but I love the ZL1 and want one really bad but it would be stupid to finance a new one, especially when I will probably end up buying a house within the next 3 years and other investments i currently have. So I will just end up doing a few things to my SS

1badtie,

Really wish you could get a ZL1 as well, but we understand your other obligations. How has the SS been treating you?

Was crusin through auto trader just for giggles yesterdday ....Saw a used red camaro 2013 zl1 with 11,00 miles on it for sale for 63K in texas.....Wanted it bad, the owner had just done 18K in performance upgrades at a reputable shop for 700 rwhp......If I was not in so deep with my second camaro...I would have called and gave my self a real shot at a zl1 again..........You might want to check it out.....if its as good as it looked its sweet, had a heritage grill and retro camaro badges................

Since you live in Indiana, take that sucker to Lingenfelter and let them turn it into a fire breathing 417 stroker with forged internals and a maggie or whipple. It should lay about 800 to the wheels when they get done.

Lol
Just depends what Porsche you choose to play with. Some of em' will bite ya hard
