Unhappy Whipple Charger Drive Train Warranty....No more

I seen where Whipple has a DT warranty for a additional cost. This sealed the deal on the FI direction I was going, before ordering. I emailed them to locate a certified installer since this is a requirement for the warranty. Received a response that they no longer offer this, the company they were doing it through went out of business. They are trying to locate another company who will do it. Sucks for those before me that paid the additional money for the warranty if they don't have anyone to honor it?

Back to square 1!!!

SLP offers a warranty. I believe you can buy it through a dealer and retain your factory warranty if they install it as well. You'd have to double check on this however, but this is what I recall reading a few times.

If you paid Whipple for the blower with the warranty, they have to honor it. If you paid a third party (as in, the one that went out of business), you're pretty much skrewed.

If you want a warranty leave the car alone. If you want a blown car with a warranty sell yours and buy a ZL1.

Magnacharger is also looking for a new warrantee company.

I spoke with SLP and it does not have to be installed at a SLP certified shop for their warrantee to be in force, but it does have to be installed by an ASE certified mechanic.

Whipple and Magnuson used the same 3rd party Warranty company ( Cornerstone ).

They are still looking for another company and will hopefully have this done very soon.
