AFM is always present in D & S (unless tuned out). I believe driving in M you can avoid it for the most part, by keeping higher rpms. That is the key... driving aggressively in S or even D would also avoid it. (I don't even think it kicks on anymore in my Camaro)

good info... so just to b clear bcuz i have never tried it....
I can leave it on "s" and never have to paddle shift?? what benefits do I gain by driving in "S" mode as opposed to "D" ?? thanks.....much appreciated

M without tap shift is sport mode and sport mode keeps the rpm at a higher range longer than D.

the amf does get used in sports or manual mode there a tuner out there to take it out ....cuz it drove me insane when i put on my qtp cutouts listening to the droaining sound
