I plan to plasti-dip my spoiler, roof and do the lower part of the diffuser between the bezels. Once I get my race ramps I'll do my rims.
where did you get your rear "SS" badge?

The first time I did my rims, I was very meticulous and did several light coats. It came out really rough. This last time I had to redo one rim since I had a tire repair done, and the edges of the plastidip peeled up a bit. I started by peeling off the old plastidip. Then I just taped off the tire and just started coating. I didn't bother with letting it dry between coats, I just kept going until the rim was completely covered. The finish turned out MUCH smoother.

I anticipate having to do some touchup on my rims after getting an alignment this morning. I'll just clean them and do a complete recoat on all.

I love this stuff.

Been thinking about this, and might do my hood and trunk... over the stripes. Might take a few cans, but it's gonna have to wait until the hurricane comes and goes. I'll keep ya posted.

@tankmorph, so are you saying or considering that i wouldn't need to wait for it to dry to add another coat, just keep going?

That's just my experience. The time I let it fully dry between coats, it came out progressively thicker and rougher. The one time I just continuously sprayed a thin layer around until it was covered...much better!

Try a test piece. Like spray an old cookie sheet or something to test different techniques. You can just peel it off when you're done and it's dry.

I tape off and spray, wait a second and spray more, then wait and spray more then pull tape off. all in about 3-5 min.

gills and hood stripes are decals (ordered before I knew about plastidip)
rims are painted (done before I knew about plastidip)

every thing else is plastidip
