ZL1 & ZR1 launch control & no lift shift...

A cool video tutorial of a ZL1 and a ZR1 launch control and no lift shifting.
Done on a street so I can't post it here.
See it here

The ZR1 has 100 HP over stock the ZL1 is stock, you can imagine what happens!

Thanks for posting. While I haven't tried it myself, all indications are you would be better off in PTM mode 4 (or 3 if you want to keep active handling on) than 2 on both cars. Is there a reason you keep it in PTM 2?

No lift shift works best in mode 5 on the zl1in my opinion. Does the 14 SS or 1LE have no lift shift?

just saw a post on our clubs web site with a 2014 1LE owner saying he had the no-lift-shift feature of the ZL1 added to his as part of a tune.

I asked if he could also add the launch control feature as well if the 1LE doesn't already have it.

No answer yet.

Well I thought the Video was effing sweet....I have the Automatic with the paddle shifters. I enjoy driving it more with the paddles then in Automatic and the down shifts sound awesome. I don't have to worry about missing a gear, only hitting the rev limiter. There is a slight delay though when you shift, so thats something to get used to. What do you guys think about the paddle shift? Pro's / Con's?

I had trouble last year missing third! All winter I trained myself by keeping my hand on top of my shifters in my DD's (I used to hold the shifter like a pistol). I haven't missed third yet this spring! Push & pull baby!

Had the same thing, You are hitting the little gate that prevents you from going into first. I use my palm and just push up not trying to find 3rd and she goes right in every time. Haven't missed since.

It seems like to me that I'm trying to shift too fast..?? If I go slow I can get it? But going slow defeats the purpose.... But I have NO luck even when I used my palm....? Idk..?

Practice makes perfect! You can shift fast, no doubt. Practice while at a stop running through the gears.
This site was posted here before, has some great tips.
