Fog light harness Mod Question

I was wondering, after helping a bunch of people do the fog light mod to make there lights on all the time. WHY?

What is the point of this, is it really that much of a pain to hit the fog light button on the dash if you want them on when your headlights are on?

Am I missing something or something different between different models that I dont know. I have a 1lt no rs and my fog/running lights work fine all I have to do is it the button.

No fog light button on the RS. They are called DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) on the RS and are only on during the day. The harness enables you to have the DRLs on at night too.

Good point, the HID are damn bright by themselves. I'm adding a relay and a switch so I can run the DRLs as normal DRLs or manually override to use as fogs with running lamps or extra driving lamps.

The wider beam of the DRL/fogs could be useful in remote areas with deer, etc. However, we really should treat these like high beams, four blazing lamps is a bit obnoxious to on coming traffic.
