Outstanding fit and finish.

The dealership I ordered my car thru called me last week to let me know they had a 2LT in the show room to show my wife. The fit and finish of the car is outstanding, GREAT JOB to the factory.

Early build models often do look like crap. It takes time to get the bugs out. Most first year cars are fine, but they are much more likely to have these small to moderate quality defects. The car in my thread was a dealer demo, one of the first built. As I said at the end of that thread, your car probably won't have those issues, but check carefully to make sure upon delivery.

Dealer demo or not, it was a production car that can be sold to the public as many already have. All these issues are bothersome that they have passed quality control for shipment. Makes me wonder about the ones that didn't pass inspection.. The paint mismatch on IOM and RJT is very troubling for all of us who have ordered IOM. I have to pay for a flight to go pick up my car and it would be a travesty if the paint is off in a noticeable manner... It would be a lot of wasted time and money..

Ever heard about the proverbial car built at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon while the QA guy was taking a coffee or smoke break? The very few cars with unacceptable defects are often talked about more often and louder than the perfect cars. Human nature for some reason wants to point out the flaws and ignore the successes.

oh yes, forget about the 1000 cars that were great(exclude the battery cable..), complain about the 1 that was bad.
