I mean come on GM, do you really expect owners to carry around a FOB that looks broken?

Thumbs up picking mine up tomorrow

Well, I was just at the dealer today and I'm picking it up tomorrow (friday). The manager told me they were not going to hold up delivery of the car as they could see no reason. I am to bring it back for the recall when I get the letter
In any case, they gave me the bill of sale, the nevis form and I got my insurance and registration today and will install the plate tomorrow.
I'll take better pics tomorrow when she is home as these are on the lot on a cloudy crappy day.

Ok got me. But my point was if they dismantle it and leave a gaping hole it will "look broken". I was not insinuating they are going to break the key off.

Yeah, and I came up with a simple plan of how that would be avoided in about 15 seconds with out all the drama....

Just so you all know, NO dealer can legally perform any recall on your car without your say-so. So bringing the car in for an oil change or something will not result in losing your keys. I've had an open recall for a cruise control switch that can cause fires on my other can and had it serviced at the dealer while under warranty. They constantly ask me to perform it but cannot without my permission

Funny stuff (not really for people that can't take delivery of their cars), some dealerships say that they can deliver cars on their lot, some say they can't. I was told yesterday, that currently there isn't any no stop deliveries on the Camaro for a safety recall, and a dealership just delivered a Z28! As for me to show up, I need at least $100 gift card like to Outback Steakhouse, TJ Ribs, or Bonefish Grill, to name some examples.
