KeyFob Falling apart What to do?

Id rather not pay an outrageous price at the dealer to get a new keyfob. What do you recommend?

That won't get you a new fob.

Are they legit? I don't mind spending a little more then $20 as long as it's quality or a forum member has had experience with one.

And yeah. I'd rather not do the recall. I'm fine with how the key is now! Lol

I bought two if the replacement cases and they look exactly like the GM ones. All you have to do is swap the key part and the inside of your existing fob and there will be no programming needed.

I bought one of these and it appears to be Genuine OEM. Had the local dealer cut the blade for me and programmed it at home. Works perfect. On sale for $23.40 as of right now.

5 button: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Oem-Chev...item484f3ce6fd

They also sell the 4 button: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oem-Chevy-Re...item48596cc7b4

About a year and a half ago my buttons messed up and came off while I was at work, I put a piece of scotch tape on it for a temporary fix, to this day the tape is still on there and it still works. Nobody really notices that its on there lol

Can these be cut and programmed any where else? I am not doing the recall and I doubt any Chevy dealer will cut and program keys/fobs that are suppose to be changed due to the recall.

and I see where you can buy just the internal uncut key to put back in the FOB if dealer takes yours.

That's exactly how mine is. The same story word for word applied here.
