The auto CTS-V was also faster around the Nurburgring than the manual. Don't even NEED to heel toe. Not to mention with the pedal placement in the current M6's you need size 3 feet to be able to do it.

im not bashing you auto guys, i know todays autos are faster shifting that a human shifted manual, its is just my personal opinion that you are removing part of the "driver" aspect when you go with an auto... again my Very biased opinion

I get your point, ODN, but modern vehicles also have ABS, stability control and a million other techno nannies in them. People want the highest performance possible, and nowadays the simple truth is that computers can out perform 99% of the driving population.

I like to think they (the techno-nannies) let the driver get even more involved in the experience cause you don't have to worry about threshold braking and power bands and all that crap.

You can just hammer down and perma-grin. All. Day. Long.

I voted no, but I guess if they offer it, it will make the manual I hope to buy more rare...

I always said I miss the 'fun' factor sometimes. But I love my car the way it is. I've started my car for probably 30 of my clients from my office door so they could hear it. I bought the auto for the remote start and so I can eat and drink and relax AND drive crazy fast.

I won't argue with that. I don't use it. I suck at it. I'd rather a standard over the paddles as far as shifting.

Hey as long as we are asking for an automatic, why not ask GM to put a little more aggressive converter in there instead of the usual loose and lazy ones for us 1/4 mile guys.

Would love an auto as long as it doesn't have AFM like my 2010 had. I know it could be tuned out but I didn't want to risk voiding the warranty so I got rid of it to wait for this ZL1 to come along.
