On the video, they said in order to build this they need to see significant consumer interest in this concept by signing up on the GMPP website. Here's the link....Come on folks, please sign-up so we can make this a reality!!! AND TELL GM TO MAKE IT STREET-LEGAL!!!!

SRT8 KICKASS!!! Wonder how much it weighs? Would be total AWESOME If GM let allowed buyers to build their own Camaro using all the trim parts from every Camaro including this Copo!!!
I would choose...

The ZL1 Body With the MR suspension etc
SSX Wheels
Copo Race Seats With BackSeat Delete
Copo Roll Cage
Hugger Orange Paint
A/C Delete
LS7 or 427
Zrl Brakes
Power window Delete

Theres alot more other stuff im missing but y'all get my idea

That's just not right (IMO)!!! That's not how the original COPO's were. GM....please make this STREET-LEGAL just like the original COPO's were!!!

I also found these statements on the GMPP website....talking about the original COPO's:

"Unlike other race-only exotics, a COPO Camaro was a true dual-purpose machine, with the hardware to win at the track and the presence to own the drive-in."

"This order code substituted the transistor ignition-equipped all-aluminum ZL1 427/430 V-8 for the L72 427 V-8 found in COPO 9561, creating the Ultimate Weapon for track or street."
It's all about corporate responsibility. State and local government wouldn't want to have to deal with a potential 800+ HP car running around on city streets just off the dealer's lot. Local law enforcement would have serious acid reflux over it. Too bad, this is going to be a Pony killer out of the box. Imagine what a little tweaking will do!

But the Corvette ZR1 with 638hp is so much safer??? Heck, even the ZL1 has "the potential".

These cars will end up on the street anyways, just as some body in white cars have. It will just be a PITA without a VIN.

There is NO way this is street legal, or will it ever be. If you are looking at this car in the hopes of having a street car, sorry:(
