Ghost Shield Protective film (clear bra)

Should be getting this on Monday, its like the 3M clear bra. The guy quoted me 595 installed and its alot cheaper than the quotes I've been getting for the 3m stuff. Just wondering if anyone has experience with it? My uncle has it on his truck and boat and seems to think it is better stuff than the 3m.

Haven't heard of them. Take lots of pics, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. It might look great now, but will it discolor in a few years, or peel? What is the warranty? From my research, 3M is expensive, but it's the best. Check your uncle's truck for any discoloration and ask to read through his warranty. You'll probably be fine, but it can't hurt to check. Just my two cents.

This is what a local company uses in my area. They do pretty much nothing but high end cars. The Lexus dealership uses them exclusively.

I think I may be crazy but I feel like I could do this myself maybe.... It will cost me $250 for both the front nose parts (I wanna see if I can order the mirrors only as well, I dont want the hood front or fender front pieces) plus all the install stuff... i will be the guinea pig... Im a retard with this stuff if I can do it right ANYONE HERE can definitely do it right!

If you never did the install before, I suggest leaving it for the pro's. Everything shows. If the installer messes up a piece he re-cuts it, if you mess up you re-buy it. It is not for the inexperienced installer. Just hate to see you waste money!

I use either 3M or Venturesheild. the latter tends to yellow faster, but works well.

Well my concern with even getting something like this is can you wax right over this thing and it looks good or better? I'm just concerned with the front of my car looking different than the rest of it.

It does have a slightly duller appearance. Wax does not hurt it or effect the look. It is better than all the chips though!

If you go to an install place they usually have a car you can look at!

so i just got the ghost shield done today and i must say they did a great job. took some pics but most didnt turn out that great. cost me $595 out the door they did everything in the front, fog light, headlights, mirrors front part of front fenders, and i had them do right under the door handle where finger nails can tend to scratch the paint

see not that great, i did however make it darker so you can see the line but it still is not that noticeable on CGM

and a darker one

keep in mind the pictures were taken is direct sunlight that why i made the copy darker

on the last 2 pictures instead of having it go straight across the lower quarter of the hood i had them cut the middle section out as i have my factory rally stripes and the film would of just looked weird if i installed over the stripes and it would of looked even worse if i had them outline the stripes with it since the film is thicker than the stripes

the guys were mobile and came to me took them about a good 3 hrs to do the job, they had total me they do anywhere is la county, ventura county, and some other places near them. just pm me if you want some contact info

A friend of mine has been isntalling the clear bra for quite a few years. All the way back to when Xpel and 3M were one company. He said he refuses to use any film other than the 3M stuff because it is the longest lasting clearest film available.
