Why don't you just log into your state DMV and put in the one you want and go from there , if it's already taken they will say so , and move on down your list
Besides it's cold like shit to be driving around for that

I'd check on my state dmvs site, but njs site won't let me since I don't have a plate on the car now, I still have my temp and since it's a NY temp it doesn't register so I can't even get into their site
