Instead of telling us all how you feel about your buddy. Tell him. If you have been "friends" for 20yrs you should be able to tell him it really bothers you.

I've never called a friend to talk cars with them... Weird. Troubleshooting a problem, yes. But to just talk cars like that is odd.

he called me and brought up that someone posted on yellowbullet about the ZL1, i tried to explain to him that the ZL1 was built to be the rival of the ford gt500. then he started the debate about why mustangs were superior to camaro. I glazed over quickly and when he wouldnt shut up about it I hung up the phone..... I still giggle about that lol

Oh god. At least the mods here keep this place from turning into a sespool like that.

I love fast Chevy's, but there is nothing wrong with a fast ford either. There is no reason to go off on eachother like that. I might own a ford someday, even if I don't and don't care anything about a certain brand or type of car that someone has I am sure not going to treat them like that over it.

seriously, you are right, who the f$%k cares which one is better. Is GM or Ford sending the diehard fanboys a check for being "deemed" better? So why stress about anything they make. Cars are like pants, you buy them because you like the look, the feel, etc. not worth arguing or debating it is better than the other brand..yada yada yada. Life is too short to waste time debating or arguing for something you absolutely benefit nothing from. You bought their product, they benefit from you, it breaks, you pay, they continue to benefit from you. They don't send fanboys free car every year do they? So why be a die-hard no-benefit representative for a brand? I like cars, that is about the extent of it. For those with such deep passion, devote it for something meaningful and join our military, drives to cure cancer, etc. etc.
