Remember that ridiculously huge turbo? I'll just leave this here:

I'll be having my exhaust welded on at IPS just so I can say my car shared the same shop space as this beast, lol.

The good news is there are no issues at all with ground-clearance on this kit The turbos sit WELL above the subframe so we won't even have to worry about a skidplate or filter socks or anything

The joys of working with smaller turbos

We have been test-fitting 2 different turbos (Garret / MHI) which are both about the same physical size. Here is a pic showing where they will sit:

As long as the intake tubing is routed up and away from the ground area and all pipes are tightly clamped, then no there won't be..ultra tight sealed turbo's

Not at all. They are on the same level as the transmission housing so no issues at all. Since the inlets are small enough the intake tubing will allow the filters to be placed high in the engine bay as well

The turbos obviously get hot but there won't be any negative effect on factory lines / wiring / parts in general. There is actually quite a bit of room around the turbos in this set-up so it really won't be an issue at all. Top-mount set-ups tend to be worse in this dept. (Melted lines and hood liners etc etc - depending on placement) so that is one of the benefits of keeping them down low.

Jeff, will you be posting dyno results for each type you test? I'm most interested in mid to high range torque for my road course setup. Smooth transition " on boost" will be important to my plans and longivity of the A6 as well.

We will be if our educated guess doesn't work the first time
