Why I kept the dealer badge on my car - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

OK so meny people asked me "why do you still have the dealer sticker on your car" SO I SHALL EXPLAIN AGAIN

This is one of my meny dream on my bucket list. For years and years i wanted to walk onto a lot say "I WANT THAT CAR" and buy it brand new. Right off the lot cash in hand. So i am liveing a dream. When i was going to buy her i went right to chevy.com and built her to my specs. IE Black on Black 1LT RS i got almost everthing. I wanted the Convenience and Connectivity Package but when i sereched the local dealers in my aera. The closest one was too far to drive. But the one i own now was closer 90% match only missing the Convenience and Connectivity Package so i bite the bullet and drove there to hack out priceing. The dealer i had was the best he was very good and knew alot about camaros. So out of respect to him and the dealership for makeing my dream come true. I kept on the dealer badge.

Also to note the dealer even after 3 mouths always comes out and meets me. Talks to me about the mods i am doing calls me acouple times too. He dont have too but he does. And at frist i had a white sticker there over my right tail light. He said (sence i was going silver with my theme) it did not look right. So he with out me asking took it into himself to remove it. And add a silver one you see today i found that VERY respectful. Also if asked i would send anyone around here in a mili sec to buy a car from them. It is small and has a family type feel to it.

In closeing i know alot of you would rip it off in a mili sec but i dont mind. My next car i get brand new i might as well but thees are my reason thank you

It's free advertising for them.
If I'm gonna keep an ugly decal on my car that advertises a dealer for free- I'd better get something in return. Otherwise- it comes off.

When I got my Trans Am I peeled off the decal before I drove it off the lot. No way I'd drive around with that on there.

Just personal preference. I respect your decision and find it admirable. But I'm not that generous to leave it on my car for their benefit.

i dont blaim you and i agree. If you keep it on the least they can do is take like 1k off the price of the car. For advertisement lol

Nope...no dealer badge on my car. Just the fact that I'm driving it around this town is advertisement for the local dealer....actually none of our vehicles have the dealer sticker.

But as it is your car....leave it on there!! If that's part of what makes you proud of your accomplishment......knock yourself out!!!

I took mine off as soon as I got home. I did not want my car to have a tramp stamp. And im not happy with the service at the dealership. But they were able to get me my car earlier than the other lots around here. I will give them that. Its amazing how you can just go to the dealership and buy a camaro off the lot. And not have to be put on a waiting list.

Thats another reason why. I hear so meny horror storys of people going to bullsh!t dealerships. It was a roll of the dice on mine. Lucky i did not crap out and found a good one with a good dealer. Who i enjoyed dealing with. I have delt with my fair share of bad dealers TRUST ME. Sleezy money grabing low lifes

I could have opted for that but as stated. It was my dream to get it right off the lot and 90% match is good enuff. If i was to do it again though i would order it and drive Nightfall happy till it came in. Also my last car was runing on her last days so sooner the better
