i agree to a point. big heavy rims - definitely! however, some people just want a really nice cruiser. same with the guys who put big chrome wheels on vettes. they obviously ain't taking it to the track.

One thing to think about is a year from now all sorts of stuff is going to be available for this car, so I am sure every tire/wheel option will be available soon.
22 will fit fine. you can fit up to 24 with out any problems , as told by chevy personnel.

Not at all. I moved from 18" rims to 22" on my magnum. I couldnt hardly feel a diffierence in terms of accerlleration issues. It actually felt more firmer off the mark as there is less rubber! I would go 22"s anyday. they make the car's stance look AMAZING!

I saw this comment b4 on a thread and coulnd find it. I guess if you can put 24s then 22's would be A-OK!

If you read my post I said "hardly". There IS ALSO much to be said with the less rubber on the wheels. If you have light wheels on your 22's the look IS enhance without too much detriment to performance.

I went from 3-piece BBS wheels to bigger 1-piece OZ Superleggera and it saved me 3kg PER WHEEL.
so never underrate the weight of your rims and tires!

That still doesn't explain why there are wrinkle wall tired on drag cars.

Yes 22s will fit. that tire has to be very very thin. i don't think anyone knows about the bot pattern yet so i can't help with that.
