Congrats, the car looks gorgeous! I know you said that you have known the GM tech for 7 years but I would be a little leary about that statement. If you trust the dealer that much than GO FOR IT! But me, I would want something in writing from the dealer. A paper trail is always a good thing to have. God forbid but if something were to happen to it and you take it in and they find out you didn't follow the break-in that's their way out. Then it's a he said she said fight. I agree 1500 miles seems to be never ending.
Good luck with it! I highly recommend a clear bra for protection. |

I found this awhile back. I could be wrong and maybe your dealership is right but I would question the fact that they say there is no break in period. Click on the link.

IMHO, The break-in is more for the owner than the Car.
580 HP can get away from you quickly and GM beleives the driver requires some degree of a learning curve. BTW, thanks for all the comments! : ) |
