Mid to High 11's in Camaro
What would be needed to hit mid to high 11's on a new camaro do you suppose?
For a comparison, a stock GT500(3900 vs 3860 camaro auto) with similar weight to the camaro on DR's runs low 12's with 500HP. I am not trying to always talk about mustangs, but as of now, specs on them is all I know. |

I'm sure at the very least you would need a full exhaust system, CAI, cam and a good tune. Not sure if you would have to go as far as replacing the heads or not. At the altitudes at the tracks where I've been you probably would, but if you are around sea level

Meh I think the camaro is around 12.8 stock, 12.6 with bolt ons, and low 12's after adding longtubes and cams.

12.9 for the stock SS according to GM....but we'll see later in the week when the media gets to release more info about their testing...I'm guessing they might get it a bit faster.

I say mid 11's fully modded(CAI,Tune,Manifold,Cams,Heads) engine and exhaust wise. But a stroker would run quicker, maybe low 11's with weight loss?
Your talking 550+ HP so that is POWER. |

Full exhaust, CAI, and a good tune with slicks I bet you could hit 11's. It's already trapping at 111mph. If you could get that up to around 115, get good traction, you're definitely there. Drag Radials may even get you there.
Good luck finding a set of wheels/slicks to fit over those 14.4" Brembos though. |

I say slap on a blower and call it a day .. very streetable and very fast .. Now put some internals in the engine and crank it up ... still very streetable and that much faster

Gears will make a big difference. All this is just speculation though.

I think 11's with just bolt ons and exhaust on DR's with weight reduction. |
