C5 Install

Hey I have some JL C5s that I want to put in the front of the car. Where can I get the...converter to change the hole size and will the tweets fit inside the stock tweeter position? I have the Boston system in there now. Also, how do I mount the crossover box?

THanks

I put JL C2's in mine. I don't know what converter your talking about for the tweeters. I wrapped mine in 3m tape and put the back in the same spot. Worked well. Here's we're I mounted my crossover. I didn't want it inside the door, with the chance of getting wet. Plenty of room behind the door panel there.

I mean when I'm mounting the woofer. Does it just fit right in the hole?

You will need speaker adaptors... metra or ********. Metra is plastic and ********'s are wood. I opted for the metra... Twetter's should fit in the factory pods.

How'd you wire those c2's up? They look like a good deal at $135 on amazon.

How do they sound?

I listened to the c3 and they sound crisper and the c5 sounds warmer.

I just put the XD 400/4 in to replace the BA amp... I am also running a ******** stealth box kicker 12 with the kicker zx 400 amp. All of it rocks.

I am considering a change on the door speakers

If your talking about how to wire the crossover up its easy. Take the factory speaker wire to the crossover then run a separate wire to the woofer and then Another to the tweeter both from the crossover.
They sound real good! I couldn't be happier!

I also ordered the Metra front door speaker adapter for my C2650 components. I just noticed they state the adapter is for 6 inch components. Will the adapter work or no?
