Why did you go with an Auto or Manual Transmission?

I got an automatic because I am in sales and in and out of my car all the time and don't need to worry about shifting all the time. For my daily driver, auto, for my fun weekend car manual.

Auto, because when I bought the car I had a 50 mile commute to work everyday and was in downtown traffic on a daily basis. I've since moved and only have a 7 mile commute on back roads and I really miss a manual transmission.

An automatic in a sports car does not compute in my brain.

I prefer the manual, even in traffic. One of the reason I decided to go with the Camaro was that there is not a 4-door with decent options with a manual (Acrua ISX came out after I decided on the Camaro). If I had to go with a coupe, I wanted to go with something fun.

I thought the upgraded v6 was the only SS with an automatic?

Manual, the only way to go.
