Cool VIDEO: Behind the 2010 "Disciples" Gathering

Featured on CAMARO5 HOMEPAGE.

GM has released this video feature showing the recent Camaro "Disciples" meeting. The Camaro's development was/is unique in the level with which the average enthusiast was involved in the process. For the development of the fifth gen Camaro, 15 enthusiasts were chosen via a writing competition to serve as the "Disciples" group to assist GM in developing the Camaro in ways that took into consideration the average consumer's wants and needs.

GM continues to use the annual Disciples meeting as a way to gauge the average Camaro enthusiast's reaction to the aspects of the Camaro that do and do not need changing. The most recent meeting took place just last month and serves as the event for this video.

We have multiple disciples that are regular Camaro5 members and one of them (KevinK) shared his thoughts with us after the meeting last month. His reaction can be found here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102240

This is cool, I just read about them in a book I picked up last week, "Camaro, A Legend Reborn" If you don't have this book, go out and get a copy.

Great stuff guys, i was waiting for the vid to come out
The disciples are awesome and GM is great for going out and doing it as it makes the Camaro soo much better/
As for the meetings, they are about improving the car, ideas like a new blue, passenger seat height and common issues like the v6 tranny would be brought up. Gm obviously would like to know theyre faults so they can make a great product even better

The purpose of the meetings is to gain constructive criticism. We all know we love the car but we know that there are certain things that need improvement so lets hope they fix the issues and continue developing great products.

We know they couldnt say anything about the Z28 but i have a pretty good hunch as to why the CTS-V coupe was there

Excellent.

This interactive feedback group is what allows the GM staff to give us such a refined, optimal product. Kudos to all.
