Third brake light

Hi everyone. I need some help.

I had the dealership install a extended wing on the back. I love the way it looks, but it has a brake light installed in it that is functional. I swap rides with my brothers g8 gt yesterday durin a cruise and do not like having two "third" brake lights now. I am trying to figure out how to disable the original third brake light through the fuse box but can't figure out which fuse controls it. Or even finding an after market light cover but can find that either.

Any ideas?

You can always remove the rear seat and rear deck and unplug the brake light. Change the rear speakers while you're there. Look in the DIY section for how to do it.

Buy the ZL1 rear deck piece that has no light there, it's not very cheap though for a piece of plastic. Or unplug the light. I was thinking have the back glass tinted, unplug the light and call it good.

This has been on my mind lately too, so far I've been dealing with 2 third brake lights. It annoys me when backing up at night, the one in the car reflects off the spoiler and shines back at me.

I thought the ZL1 just had a piece of plastic that fits OVER the light to not let it shine through?

Judging by the pic,it's a whole package tray. Special for the ZL1,only.No separate CHMSL cover. The non-ZL-1 CHMSL looks like it unplugs right @ the CHMSL . It's LED ,so no individually serviced bulbs .

Do you know where I could order that? Or get the part number? I hate 2 dummy lights.

It is not serviced separately. Part of package tray.

I agree. I also have the high-wing, and actually LIKE having two high-mount brake lamps. To each their own, I guess.
