Im running 315 rear tires on mine. They fit the 20X11 wheels perfect and they dont rub at all.

I just put on a set of Nitto Invo 295 front and 315 rear. Still feels good, handles good and looks good. I'm satisfied.

I'm so confused. I will need tires for my 1LE in about 6 months or so. If you guys wouldn't mind could you show more close up pictures of the car that are about 7 or 8 feet away. I really love the looks of the the stock tires, and would love to see the Michelin's, Nitto's etc. to make a comparison.

305/35/R20 on all 4 corners…
I too will be looking for new tires on my 1LE in the not too distant future and want to keep the neutral set up of the 1LE intact. I had the idea of putting 305s on all 4 corners instead of the stock 285s since I’m not a big fan of the 285s being stretched over the rear wheels. Specifically, I was looking at the Goodyear Eagle F1s (the same as the stock 285/35/R20 just in the 305/35/R20 size – unless someone has a better tire to recommend). In researching this I’ve uncovered more questions than answers. Has anyone done this already? If so, please provide details. If not, here are my questions… I’m hoping someone smarter than I can help answer them and potentially uncover anything I may have missed.
1. The rims on the 1LE are 10 in. wide in the front and 11 in. wide in the rear. The specs on a 305 tire recommend it be used for rims that are 10-12 in. wide. On paper it seems like the 305s will fit. The rear is not an issue since they put 305s on the rear of all ZL1s. So the real question is will the 305s work on the front? In particular, will the tire rub on the inside fender or inside near the engine block when making a turn since the 305s are larger in diameter and circumference?
2. Will the camber of the vehicle need to be adjusted to accommodate these tires? If so, how much does that cost and where do you take the car to get this done? What are the consequences of doing this (pros & cons)?
3. The biggest question revolves around the speedometer. According to Discount Tire’s tire calculator (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos) changing from a 285/35/R20 to a 305/35/R20 will affect the speedometer. Depending on how fast you’re going, the speedometer can be thrown off by as little as 0.40 MPH all the way up to 2 MPH or more. For example, if you upgrade to 305s and your speedometer says you’re going 70 MPH, you’re really going approximately 71.39 MPH. So the question is, will the speedometer have to be recalibrated if you upgrade to a different size tire? If so, how much does this cost and where do you take the vehicle to get this done? What are the consequences of doing this (pros & cons)?
4. Lastly, according to the tire calculator the 305s will achieve about 14 RPMs less than the 285s due to the increased dimensions. Does this mean you’ll get more life out of the 305s when compared to the 285s (i.e. will the 305s get more mileage vs. the stock 285s all things being equal – no drag/track racing, smoking the tires, etc.)?
I think that’s all I can think of for now. I apologize if this is long winded. Again, if I missed anything please mention it for everyone’s benefit. I appreciate anyone’s help on these questions. Thank you in advance to those that can offer any insight.

The 1LE does have some understeer. Also I think if you want to run 305s all the way around you will have to drop down to 19" rims like the Z/28. I have not seen 20" 305s on the front of a Camaro. If you run taller tires make sure the front and back sizes are less than 1" apart in height or you will light up the dashboard. If you run taller tires you will need to change a tuning parameter to make your speedometer accurate. I think making that change could void your drive train warranty.

The 295s on the back looks a little weird, but the tires seem fine with that. Some have therorized that this was intentional chassis tuning by Chevy, but I think they just used the ZL1 rims because they already had them. The strechy setup handled fine and they saved a few bucks over making a smaller wheel just for the 1LE. To me it gives the 1LE a little more character. Although I will put 305s on the back once I replace the Goodyears as I am adding more power. If I do that I might get a stronger rear sway to minimize the additional understeer.

I do not like the Goodyears, and many have moved on from them.

I have my whole car in heated storage this year. I bought a set of stock 20" Camaro wheels and tires (take offs) and I will put those on the car next winter for storage and put the Goodyears in my basement for the winter.

Nice color.

Same size front and back. I drove it in the cold weather but never in rain or snow. I never really put them to the test as far as handling with any speed but they feel pretty good at normal speeds.

at 1st why gm installed the bigger rims in the back? why didn't they install just 4, 20X9 rims all over??

if i get a 1LE, one of the 1st mod, would be to install a set of 305's in the rear. the rims are made for it.
