I ordered at the end of November. A few days after GM opened up the doors to Canadian orders.

Just an off topic side note, Fbodfather if you are having some medical issues I hope you are doing well and take it easy, rest up and get your self all healed up so you can come back and beat up us troublemakers with your suburbans and clubs...I know Drake will be due for some smacking about soon. Its inevitable..lol..then I'm next.

Serious question. Was watching Pass Time on Speed tonite and they are still running commercials for the Z. They do say delivery Spring 2012 but would it be wise to hold the ads until all issues are addressed? Just curious-at least i'm not 'whinning'.:/

I don't believe anyone ever said it was a minor issue. Or a major one. The silence is deafening.

The lack of comment from GM regarding the current ZL1 QC hold is standard and customary, just as with the QC holds on the original 5th Gen Camaros and the initial 5th Gen Camaro Convertibles.

Manufacturers do not comment on QC holds for obvious reasons.

What are the obvious reasons? Don’t need specifics or exact dates, just an update like the original blanket statement made. They have already commented with the original statement; why not send an update as to the status of original statement.

A manufacturer generally doesn't comment on QC holds because of the uncertainties that exist until the issue has been resolved and the hold is released, and because if details regarding the hold are released, then customers may want to have their vehicle "corrected" even if it was not one of the vehicles where the hold issue was present.

What type of updated status information would you hope to receive that wouldn't include dates or specifics?
