Grand Bend Lapping Days/Nights...
I wanted to post this as a FYI for those wishing to track their cars in a non competitive, get to know your car, kind of mindset. These Lapping Days/Nights are a ton of fun. Risk is very low as there are no obstacles to hit as I can remember. Certainly there are no walls. Might be a sapling here or there but not in the areas where you'd run into any kind of trouble - i.e. at corners. Prices range from $50 (Lapping Night) to $125 Lapping Day (8am to 5pm).
You must have: A car in good condition A Snell approved helmet - details are on the site Long pants - no shorts Shoes that cover your toes - no sandals, steel toe not required Most other answers to questions can be found at the site or if you wish to ask me, I'll try and answer to the best of my ability. I've done one Lapping Night already (unfortunately not in my own car but it was a 2010 SS). http://www.grandbendraceway.com

When does the track open? I have only been to their drag strip and it usually doesn't open until may long weekend

I believe May 4 is their first day. Registration is open for May 4 Lapping day. You can register online. I have no idea about the drag stip but I'm sure the link I posted would have that information.
