E85 fuel pumps. Need advice.

Hey guys,

I need some advice on the proper/best fuel pumps to use for my set up. I want to convert to E85 and I will not be going over 600 rwhp. I have heard good things about Bosch pumps (quiet/reliable), but I wanted to know if the AEM 360lph (E85/Green) pump or any of the Walbro pumps are recommended. Please be as specific as possible. I really don't want a pump that buzzes all of the time. This is not a full blown race car and with my (modest) HP level, I have to believe that I can find a dual pump set up that not only flows enough for E85, but is also quiet.

Thanks!

You need pumps made specifically for e85. Other wise sitting in it is going to eat your pumps up and you're going to have to have them rebuilt every year. Mine made it 8 months.

Squash has my pumps right now, getting me set up with pumps that will be ok

Walbro is the best. I would stay away from AEM pumps.

Why do think I should stay away from AEM pumps? Just curious.

Yeah, I'm only looking at E85 pumps. Sorry to hear about yours.

Some guys over on the EVO forums have had trouble with them. I am guessing they are better suited for track use like the aeromotive. I have also heard that Walbro utilizes a lot of resources when it comes to testing their products. It makes sense. Their e85 pumps have a really good reputation. Of course some people seem to have problems with every fuel pump they come across. I am also biased as I have two Walbro 267s lol

I've never heard anything bad about the AEM green pumps. They are quieter than walbros, I think all the vette guys run them in tripples all the time for E85. We've got a system that would match what you are looking for coming out shortly for $1040.
