Ill get the pics up as soon as this horrid weather finally lets up. I am actually eager to line up against a few Mustangs, particularly the 5.0L. 5thgenowner, did GM breath new life into the Z28? God the muscle car wars were/will be a thing of beauty.

The car is a thing of beauty. The LS3 doesnt sound as if it is going to rattle apart with every rev, the transmission requires finesse, the styling is basically unparalleled, I could go on. Picked up a Black 2SS M6 with Inferno Orange interior. Got a quote on a muffler delete this afternoon. Can't wait to here her without the silencers. I have to admit, after being a Mustang guru, it feels strange to be a noob.

Welcome to the site, my friend! Don't worry...only a few bite (especially Mustang owners)

naw...I LOVED the old fox body stangs. The 93 Cobra was my absolute favorite. ..actually, still is my favorite model year of all time. LOVED IT.

But, no extra cash to have one of each. Glad you have an open mind and tried out the ole' GM muscle!

Welcome aboard!

Nope, the memo actually caused the purchase of the Camaro. Had already bought a 2010 GT and the news was so irritating that I traded up. Plus I couldnt escape the feeling that my 2010 would be worth about as much as a football when the 2011 hit the lots. The 5.0 is going to be stout, but it will still look and feel nothing like the SS.

Hello, this is my first post. I'm also a long time Mustang driver. I had a 1985 Mustang GT convertible for 10 years, sold it and bought a 2000 GT. The GT is going on ten years old and it's time for something new. The "something new" is going to be a 2011 2LT/RS Camaro. I'm not looking for a high powered ride so the Coyote does nothing for me and the new styling on the Mustang aint getting it done. Anybody else notice how the rear end on the new Mustangs looks like an old Supra? Where did the bumper go? The new Camaro just looks so badass it's a no brainer. Along the way I've also owned a 92 Camaro RS, 96 Impala SS, and 2000 F150 SVT Lightning. So I've gone back and forth between both brands. Looking forward to driving a Camaro around November-ish.

They put more power, and are lighter, but that live rear end is going to keep the Camaro a winner on nice, twisty tracks. Welcome to the forum, enjoy your new ride.

I was the other way around when I bought my camaro. I like the looks both inside and outside of the mustang better, but I liked what gm did with the independent suspension and the ls3 motor so I let the motorhead side of me out way the looks and bought the camaro. I was then lucky enough to get a good deal on a gt500 several months later so now all is right with the world.
If they don't so get my camaro out of the shop it might just go down the road.

I'm kinda in the same situation. I had in the past 8 years:

1990 5.0 GT
1991 5.0 LX Coupe
2003 Mach 1
2003 Cobra
2006 Mustang GT

My new 2010 Camaro SS trumps them all. The only one that came even close was the 2003 Cobra.
