That's a pretty good top speed, if correct. I was hoping it would get at least close to the Dodge boys' cars; don't the SRT8s top out around low to mid-170s?... Not that I'd ever go that fast but it makes for good benchracing and bragging rights

They only got the chally to 150 and he had to tape up the front (and likely damage the engine) to do it on Top Gear. Although that was on salt flats so it likely would go a bit faster on a track.

car & driver has the chally's top seed as "drag limited" to 168. The camaro should be a bit faster as it's lighter and more aerodynamic.

Motor Trend took the SRT8 all around Europe and topped out @ 173 on an abandoned auto strada in Italy. And according to him he backed off @ 173

That was also to hit 150 at the 1 mile marker, not a flat top speed run.
