OK old guys the Camaro is mid life crisis #?

Ok I am getting spastic waiting for my Camaro. I will be 50 this year and so far I admit to this being my 4th so called mid life crisis. At least that is what my Wife and family says. I told them there has to be people worse than me so list them and help a brother out here. This stuff just got to stop I got to retire some day.

#1 Age 39 to 42 - I broke way too many bones

#2 Age 46 Ford Mustang - Found out new Camaro on the way. so I gave it to my Son

#3 Age 49 H-D My old 1972 H-D finally broke

#4 Age 50 Camaro

#? Could this be in my near future

I'm 53 and have done the big-ass cars and the Harley's too (after meeting my obligations as husband and father). No broken bones though.

Fun and pride have no age limit and you should follow your heart.

I'm not a racer. I want the Camaro because it is sexy as hell and will be fun to drive. This is not a mid-life crisis thing. I did that years ago.

EDIT: damn, the wheelchair is awesome. My boys have promised me a totally tricked out walker.

I'm 45 and I sometimes wonder myself but then I realize I would have been this way when I was younger if I'd had the money. I still feel like a fifteen year old on the inside and I still love anything with a motor! Nice toy's by the way.

So I guess you are getting a V6 then? Remember admitting it is the first step to recovery.

My friend's dad has gone through 3 mid-life crisis cars...

Mustang GT...wrecked.
BMW 328i...traded in for...
2006 BMW M5...garaged due to its fuel sucking V10 and 8 miles/gallon on premium gas.

OK, ok. Point taken. But seriously, my mid-life crisis was ugly, very ugly and it had nothing to do with cars. Maybe this is a "waning years" crisis?

I ordered the 2SS/RS for a couple of reasons. I think the V8 will be more fun to drive than the V6 and I buy nothing that is not near top-of-the-line (within my budgetary constraints of course).

This was my realization in '04 when I bought my GTO (since totalled) just a few days after my 40th b-day -- it wasn't that I woke one day with the desire for a sexy car or whatever, it was that I realized I could afford one (and could have for years, had it dawned on me sooner that I was no longer a broke kid...) When people made "crisis"-related comments, I just told them that I was using it as an excuse to get something I wanted for a change!

Of course, after the GTO, I was completely hooked on torque. Now if I can just get past the mullet legacy of the Camaro... :(

This car will do that to anyone my age if they ever owned one when they were younger. I'm 52 and this hopefully will turn back some time. I didn't go all out even though I could I just knew I had my share of tickets with the V8 version and I considered the cost to operate (gas, insurance, tickets). Got a
2LT RS IOM auto on order.

I'm going to be 52 in about 2 weeks and some say this is my Mid Life Crisis.

I'm tired of driving around with older second hand cars, this will be my first NEW Car.

Believe me I will take very good care of it. The time has come.

I think it was destined. Look at the wheels on your mustang. They are very simular to the RS wheels.

You are just a head of the times.

I say what ever makes you happy regardless of your age.

I like the saying, The older I get, the better my toys get.

Must be high 40 something, I have been married for 27 years and got married at 21. I bought the Mustang for her for our anniversary back in 05. Heck it took me over a year to figure out how to get to drive it more, I just finally had to get her a new car. She is great she actually understands and mama always comes first. I am thankful she enjoys my crisis too, dang this woman can drive!

My wife picked out the wheels, she thought they looked like the camaro wheels. I also tried on the spoiler, but it just is not going to look anywhere close to as good as a camaro period. Sorry Son.

If you end up in that wheelchair, you had better take precautions of loose, hanging objects. Castration by turbine blades would suck.

BTW -- I have a KX250 that looks very similar to that one sitting in my garage. It's very hard to get rid of that rocket ship. Even though I don't race anymore, I still like to take it out and tear up some dirt and get the blood pumping every now and then. I may have to sell it if the Camaro meets my adrenaline needs.
