I learned that my Jailbroken iphone doesnt work well with the new OS 4. ATT turns off messaging, internet over 3G and voice mail if you have a hacked phone. I had to erase everything and set it up from the beginning.

When you restore it, do not restore from back up otherwise your problems will not go away. You have to set it up as a new phone in itunes.

Yup! That is exactly the same for me!!! I just restored it but I chose to restore with my settings so I am having the same problems. Now Im doing a fresh restore with new settings. I hope a jailbreak for 4.0 comes out soon. That is how I stream my 3g signal as wifi from my phone so my wifi only ipad can have internet anywhere I go!!

Is this what happened to all jailbroken guys:?

I think so.
I thought they removed the picture mms at first, then did some googling and found out that is only on Jailbroken phones.

Thanks for the warning. I thought about jailbreaking my iPhone, but other than changing skins I would have not real use to do so. So it's not worth it for a "skin".

To the comment on teh Droid. I have a friend who cell phone bounces a lot when a new phone like the driod comes out. She had a iPhone, then went to the blackjack, then back to iphone then to Black JackII then back to the iPhone, then to a Balckberry then back to an iPhone then to a droid then now she is back to her iPhone. I told her each time she would go back to her iPhone, and she has. She said the droid does not know how to do anything as smooth and as easy as the iPhone. As soon as I can afford it, the iPhone4 will be replacing my 3G

I am done jailbreaking.

One time before the newer jailbreaks came out I had it jail broken. Then when I went on a small trip and my phone locked up on me saying connect to itunes. I didnt have a computer with me so I was stuck without a phone for 4 days. You dont realize how much you use it until you dont have it.

OMG tell me about it. I keep my phone in my gym bag and turn it on every 3-4 days to see if I have any messages. Good thing my battery stays charged for a month before needing to be recharged. And no, this is the truth.

Anyone have a handle on a solution for unlocking 3.1.3 and baseband 5.12.01?

I'm so tired of Apple keeping their products locked. It's so damn frustrating.

And no, I'm not switching to some other crappy phone.

There's only two other phones I would consider. (1) the overseas version of the droid called the "milestone" and (2) the Nokia N900. Neither of which work on ATT's 3g frequencies.

YouTube plays just fine on an iPhone. YouTube is smart enough to use modern video standards!
