1st time at the Drag Strip

One of the Radio stations had a cruise sponsored here with the final destination being the local raceway park. Running a basically stock 2010 LS-3 SS/RS my best run was a 13.7 @ 107mph. With a little more practice might have been able to get into the low to mid 13's. Only improvements to the car are a CAI induction and Stainless Works cat-back system.

My advice... New tires, NEW TIRES BADLY. when i changed my tires i cut over .5 seconds off my 60ft.... which equates to even more time off of the 1/8th and 1/4 time

It was amazing how fast everything happened when you get staged. Tires at this point still weren't the biggest issue ,it was processing everything that needed to be done to get consistent launches.

This is so true. I did my first time a couple of weeks ago. Even though I managed to get ten passes in my head was still spinning at the end trying to focus on driving the car

Glad to see guys getting out and enjoying these type of cars on a track or a strip. When I was a kid it was the drag strip every week. Now I'm so used to the road course I'm actually intimidated by the quarter. Something I'm going to need to face head on this summer. Just hope I don't pick the wrong car to go against in my return. There's a great vid on here of a Camaro leaving a Boss as if its standing still.

Practice...I was hitting 12.9 to 13.1 when I was bone stock once I got the hang of it. But yea those first runs were scary....had no idea what I was doing lol

Not bad, just have a lot of room to work on in that 60'. Best thing you can do is get more seat time! Getting that muscle memory down is key!

Best regards,
