Considering that if you even were to splice in a DVD player (ignoring the fact that it's illegal), it would only play when the car was in reverse. So would you really even want it?

I am very interested in a forward facing camera for curb issues. I have a 2013 with my link and the back up system. I do not want to rip my front splitter hitting a curb. I have read about the curb alert system but the reliability is spotty at best.

Any suggestions for a remote front facing camera system for this purpose?

The only thing out currently are the curb alert systems. Unless you want to DIY up something yourself.

Yep. I have MyLink. It was sitting on the lot, not one that I special ordered. I ended up in a water filled ditch in my Fusion, so I was researching prices and I wasn't even planning on buying that day, but hey it happens.

mylink is standard in all trims above LS.
Backup camera is standard in 2lt and 2SS trims and an optional package in the 1lt and ss

We already talked the phone about this like 2 months ago. It's like you told me then, you need to see the back of the my link. I wish I lived closer to you, if I did , we would have solved this conundrum a long time ago.
