Hey guys,I've been browsing this website since I ordered my RS/SS2 car back in May. It has 710 miles in the video, I've had the car for less then 2 weeks. First and only pass on the bottle was a 11.80@121 mph with a 2.06 short time. Best 60ft last week was a 1.89, closest I got this week was a 1.99. Yes those are 16 inch wheels in the front.

I like that, "Small Dry Shot"! How small was it? 100, 150? Good run. What catback are you running?

Around 120, ran through the stock air filter. It's actually just a Magnaflow Muffler cut in where the stock H-pipe was. I deleted the rear mufflers. Still has the 2 resonators in place.

I see your doing a burnout in the water box. You're running the stock rear tires? People always say stay out of the water box with the stock tires.
Also, more info on those front wheels (drag wheels?) They look skinny.

yeah how'd you get a 16" on the front over those huge calipers? that thing runs good man!! nice runs!

Dude....

I'd kick the track guys in the NUTZ if they sprayed MY TIRES down like that just before a run. WTF are they thinking?!?!?

Stay out of the water unless you are running slicks. When you spin your tires in the water, you pick up water in the grooves of the tread and spin them easily. Even after your take off, you won't be able to catch as much traction. Water will still be in the wheel well...

On top of that, you see the guy walk out there and look at the track?...he's checking the track for water left behind from a running AC, oil, and water from your tires. Water also gets thrown up into the wheel well when doing a burn out and it'll drip down onto the track.

I'm sure you probably already know this (and I'm not at all trying to sound like the 'know it all', but I'm just trying to offer up some advice from personal experience.

20" tires are hard as hell to smoke with out having water on them. The car wheel hops bad if you do a dry burn out. The water box area was pretty sloppy because they were having a "4.70 oulaw class" race and we ran right behind them. The guy was spraying water down for the next car behind me.

Brace yourself for this, that is a 16" ccw wheel on the front of the car. I took the Brembo brakes off the front and installed 2002 F-body brakes. This is only for the track. They do work just fine, I just saved 110 pounds off the front of the car. Some people dont understand, some do.

Thank you for the compliments, Next video's, same set up, 12.40's on motor and 11.40's on spray. Same tires.

Holy shit 110lbs! Didnt by chance weigh the stock rotors did you?

The stock rotors weighed in at 25#s, f-body rotors weighed in at 15#s. If you multiply it all by 3 since its rotating weight, I took 330#s of rotating weight off.

I just ordered a set of Kooks longtubes for the car on Monday, be 10 days before I can get them. I'd like to make a 10 second pass with the stock manifolds. Just to see if I can do it.......I bought a set of 18" Radials so I think it's possible. I know on motor, I never go to 4th gear. Just by the tires I should be able to drop this thing down in the 12.20 range IF I can get it in to 4th gear. I think 10's are feasable with radials. All I can do is try!

Untouched motor with a stock airbox and paper filter.

Anybody run a 10 second 1/4 mile yet?
