OK, so let's put a new wrinkle in this. If I take the car to the dealer, can they look into the ECM and tell if it is on the high octane fuel table????
I am beginning to think mine is not and will not. (yes, I am looking for new places to get fuel) I use the highest I can get but I'm thinking 91 with ethanol is not going to react to the fuse pull |

If you can get a datalog and ask a good tuner to tell you, then yes, they can tell you. But the dealer isn't going to waste their time. You can ask them and maybe they will, but I'm thinking no. |

Thanks PQ. I'm taking it in tomorrow for a minor problem and I'm going to see. I'll just ask and tell them it seems sluggish

I see the GM TSB is dated 2009, So this fuse reset works on 2011 L99? GM hasn't corrected this yet? With the L99 doesn't it run on more then one table with it having Active fuel management?

That's part of the confusion. We have LS3 people claiming gains and we have tuners modifying fuel trim table in both the L99 and LS3 for both 2010 and 2011 |

I have no way of knowing how the LS3 is effected. Or the L99 on a technical level. A good tuner does. But they of course will not weigh in. |

Yes, but are the tuner tuning because of this and staying within factory parameters or tuning for added performance? Fuse reset does it lock in that fuel table or will it reset itself down the road?

I'm going to do it tonight. We ran a tank of 87 in it and I could tell it was dogging out and sounded like crap. I noticed a good change after I went back to 91 so hopefully this will fix it for good. Good info!

Does anyone know if chiptuning the ECU will fix this problem? Maybe setting it up with a piggyback like Unichip, which will bypass the ECU's parameters to use its own optimal tables. I'll try it tonight and see what happens.
