hood spear problem

i have some hood spears on my camaro and after was the tips of the spear want to come off and curl up so i have to dry them and stick them back down any advice on how to get these tips to stay down

Did you clean the area real good before the install? The tips of the spears are posed to wrap under the hood a little! I have hood spears and no problems at all!
