Haze & Marring after using FG400

My car was in need of a detailing so I took out the equipment. Everything looked great until I held an LED light over the paint. I saw that there was some marring and a haze in the paint. I was using a Meguiars mf pad with some Menzerna FG400. Also, I tried using a Buff and Shine orange pad, but that didn't work. From what I researched, it looks like a Menzerna polish will correct that. I'll spend the money to get it, but I want to make sure that it will fix the problem since their products are a bit of money. What should I do?

Haze after compounding is normal. You need a finishing polish to clean up the haze/marring caused by the compound.

Lot's of different finishing polishes you can use. Menzerna makes good polishes. A Tangerine Lake Country Hydrotech pad works great with finishing polish for compounding haze removal.

MF pads are more aggressive than foam of the same color, so you will notice more marring.
I use hexlogic Orange pads with FG400
Followed by SF 3800 to remove the compounding micro mars that can happen by using 400.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice. I ordered some SF3500 to see if that would correct it

I just did one of my cars this past week starting with wet sanding all the way up through the wax. I used the Meguiar's Ultimate products mostly. (I know its not a Camaro, but it still turned out great.)

I had just had the car repainted about 2 weeks ago and there was a lot of hazing from their buffing and trash still in the paint. Take your time and work it. A good random orbital like the Porter Cable 7424 will also be your best friend!
