Arizona All Gen's "Third Annual Run to The Fun" - Jan. 25th thru Jan. 27th, 2013

I want to get this planned and out there early so we can refine the times and get the word out.

Like last year we will have a caravan from NorCal to Barstow (lunch/meet with SoCal), and then carry on to Laughlin while trying to keep InfernoLS3 under 140mph...

For now this is a proposed route and timetable. Please toss out any suggestions that you think would improve this.

Time - 6:30am - Please suggest time. Based on Googlemaps estimate of time to each point we would get into Barstow for lunch around 12:45pm, and arrive at the hotel 3 hours later. If you wish to leave later or earlier adjust accordingly.

This is where Clint realized he needed more mods, and InfernoLS3 regretted bringing his heavy ass 22's...

Let's be honest, it's an open road and people will want to play. Please be respectful of the people who went and got a tune to explicitly limit the speed of their car to 70.

Expected Arrival: 3 hours after departing Barstow depending on how many tickets Clint gets...

Helpful Tips

1. Some people incurred rockchip damage last trip. If you don't have a clearbra toss a HEAVY layer of wax on your front end, gills, and mirrors.

2. Chaining into #1, keep your distance on the cruise Saturday to avoid rocks being kicked up, we are in the desert.

3. The only strip club in town was shut down due to selling pot. Bring your own strippers and pot.

4. The video poker 'bar' in Edgewater has 99 microbrews that are free for as long as you are playing.

5. You will NOT win the Camaro over the slots.

imma try and make it to the socal meet point but idk i have to find out if i can get that day off work. if not i gotta wait til after work ..... when traffic is hell!!!!

Hey Chris, I see google maps has you going up to the 95. We coould go until Needles FWY. Its the same route we took last year... I have never done the 95, but I was thinking about the time saving.

just FYI, Needles is a TOTAL tourist trap. Gas is an outrageous price in that area.

We picked up gas in Barstow and didn't have to fill up until we got to Laughlin.

I'm still open to what the group wants to do.
