I was just giving credit to Ford, And Pharmd was giving credit to the 4th gen LS1's, Neither of us was, By any means was saying the 5th Gen Camaro is too heavy and slow, If you want to stock to stock, Then obviously the Camaro is not the fastest car in the world,
But it is the fastest car in its class!

yeah 1/4 12.874 at 104.159 1/8 8.433 at 88.585 60ft 2.117...im not saying the 5th gen is slow just saying its not as fast as i thought it would be when the specs first came out...i thought it would be a monster but a lightly moded s197 will keep up with a stock 5th gen

so the 4.6 does make 350hp then?

If your refering to my car It ran 11.05 at the track, Watch the video!
It also ran an 11.02 at the lsx shootout, Stock tranny,Stall,suspension, At only 7 lbs of boost, Once the weather breaks we will be in the ten's easily!

Back to the original arguement: I'd say that the battle between 5th gens and 4th gens is a drivers race.

My 99 trans am auto ran consistent 13.50's at 104 in showroom stock form in warm weather.
My 10 SS ran consistent 13.50's at 107 in warm weather. Now in cool weather it runs 13.10's at 108

yeah i agree you have a faster car 0-160 but you wont start pulling away until 110 and your not stock so what is your argument

yes they did. all ls1's made 350 crank hp. gm underrated the ls1 fbody.
