differential/axle questions

My axel boot on my passenger side got rip up
so i need to replace ether the axel or boot
First can I just pull out the axel from the differential or is there a clip to remove from inside the differential.
2nd can the zl1 axle fit, if yes can i run with one zl1 axle and one org.

I wouldn't exactly say the axles just "slide" out of the differential....it takes a pretty good "yank". But no you do not have to remove any clip from inside the differential. And NO, ZL1 axles will not fit in a SS differential.

I must have gotten lucky when doing mine then, didn't require too much force. OP you might want to look at upgrading axles then, I have DSS 1000hp and they're great, they make lighter versions, so you can get what you need.

DSS does some great work. If you don't need an upgrade, they can rebuild them, put new boots on and fill them with better grease.

If you do need an upgrade, their 1000 HP axles are excellent, but they do take a bit to ship as they're made to order.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler
