20" RS Midnight silver on 1LT
Hi, will those 20" RS Midnight silver wheels fit on a 1LT (without RS package) ?
I heard people say the rear hub is different, what is it about? |

I would like the answer to that question also.My brother plans on getting a 2011 1LT/non RS Camaro next year, and plans on purchasing the 20' tire and wheel sets on Ebay.If i'm not mistaken,The RS package on my RS 1LT Camaro shares the same rear suspension as the SS,with the exception of the axle shafts(or so i've been told.

They will fit fine. It is the 2LT that may not fit the 18's as the hubs are from the SS.

WHAT?!? The 20" RS wheels are standard on the 2LT with RS package. In fact they should fit on ALL Camaro's regardless of model or trim level.

This was 1st revealed last Feb or Jan on CAMARO5.
The 2LT RS (like the one I have) comes with SS hubs and reportedly a 4.5 link vs the 4.0 link on the 1LTand the 5.0 link on the SS. I attended a open house with the dealers in March and the GM TRAINING rep agreed that was his understanding as well. It has NOTHING to do with brakes on a V6 car, only on the SS.

I have a set of the LS' 18s with snow tires waiting in my garage for snow to fall before I put them on my 1LT w/ RS. The dealer put them on for a test drive before I took delivery with no problem and it was also confirmed by an engineer at the Milford Proving Grounds. My understanding is that the brakes DO have something to do with stock 18s or 19s going on an SS due to the Brembos. Last edited by JChen; 10-19-2009 at 05:29 PM. |

Bottom line is cars have not been driven any miles yet to see if the offset is impacted and how it behaves. On the 2LT.
