Guys... Don't get all worked up on dates... I know everyone is excited BUT they aren't even going to start building till after the first of the year... another 5 days won't amount to anything... honestly as long as a dealer as an allocation slot, you could walk in December 31 and possibly have your car before the ones who ordered the 29th... or 3rd.

That said, I do understand the excitement. I take Becky's reply as it's the same... either date works but it is a little misguiding. As far as options, I'm sure they are finaled but won't be released until my guess is the 29th...

Drake, the problem is you could have $60k cash in your pocket.
If the dealer is only allocated two Zl1's and those two are spoken for by lets say JC Penny, and Walmart.... Guess what?
You will need to find another dealer with allocation..
I know its not fair, but GM has its rules it goes by.
The dealer is the manufacture's customer and the manufacturer dictates how many cars (ZL1'S )said dealership can have.
But no worries. If you want one, you can have one. Call your dealer and see where you stand on they're waiting list for ZL1. You might be surprised as some dealers don't even know about the car, so there fore they do not have a line waiting for it.

Drake... Here is the catch, you could be the first order in the world, pay cash upfront PLUS a $50,000 mark up and you STILL might not get your car first... or second... or tenth... if your car gets stuck in QC or takes longer in transit... you just never know and no one has any control. All you can do is place your order and wait... it's out of your or your dealers hands at that point.

What i have in writing is the dealer saying that they must order and i must retrieve from them a zl1 asap... its signed and wintessed and everything so it is a legal document... i would hope they wouldnt be pulling strings with me saying im getting one and reall they have no idea... that would be false advertisment, misleading customer, lying all together... i would hire an attorney bc of all the money i already forked out... which they insisted i do anyway so...

It's not the dealer... It's GM, some cars get stuck in QC... it happens and the dealer has ZERO control.

Agree and can happen to any model. Just ask Becky@Rodgers. Our Cruze LTZ was delayed for quite awhile earlier this year and she tried everything. I'm hoping for everyone buying one, the dealers don't get crazy with Market Adjustment $ especially after the Ring Results.

Should have asked me... My dad is skilled trades at the Cruze plant in Lordstown... I could have had him check on it for you.
