Well finally got around to doing my bowties. I got some pre-cut vinyl off amazon. The rear bowtie was a piece of cake but the front was a royal pain. When I would do the front no matter what it would crease all over. I eventually got it to only crease a litle bit and I am going to leave it for now. Now I ordered orange vinyl and boy is it bright compared to my IOM but atleast the ugly gold is gone All that is left right now for future mods is installing my LED DRLs and my ported throttle body when I get it painted. It just sucks that thanks to my APEX scoop and washer bottle I gotta take off the washer bottle to install the LED DRL on the driver side.

I don't particularly care for the these bowtie overlays. I will have to see if they grow on me or I may just end up painting mine. With my painting history I am a little worried. I'll have to see what other ideas I come across but until then I will be sticking with these.

Well I managed to get a spare front bowtie so I will attempt to paint it when it comes in. I am going to see how orange on the chrome part and black on the gold part of the bowtie looks. Any other suggestions are appreciated.*

*Yea painting didn't go so well haha, will most likely order some painted bowties, front and rear*

So I'm pretty excited order some pedals that are now discountinued. I got these in red because I heard they match the IOM interior better than the orange, plus only red and blue were left. Can't wait to get them and see how they look.

Also in other news mailed out my proted throttle body to get that painted so I can not wait. Def got some excited mods to add to my car

Today I installed my red foot pedals. I started with the brake. I took off the rubber and started drilling through the metal. I was able to drill the first two holes and then the battery on my drill started to die so I was only able to do a little of the bottom hole. So I stopped and let the battery charge and a half hour later I finished drilling and attached all the pedals. It was very simple to do the only trouble I had the was battery on my drill but can't complain. Now I went with red for two reasons. The first since these pedals are now discontinued I had only a choice between red and blue the second I figured the red would prob match the IOM interior a little better than the bright orange ones.* So here are some pics. I also was going to finally do my LED cupholder but decided once again to put it off for another day. And my painted ported throttle body should be here anyday, can't wait to get that on.

*Been thinking of removing them and getting them powder coated orange, they seem to be a little too red for my taste*

So I just called the only place around me to get my car dynoed and for 3 pulls they wanted $150 and that seems absolutly crazy to me. I was expecting it to be much lower. So I guess it looks like I will never be able to get my car dynod :(

So for awhile I have been thinking of cleaning up or spicing up my engine bay some. I thought about getting braided hoses for my catch can but have had a hard time finding some. Yesterday someone posted a thread about how they used electrical tape to cover the black hoses for their catch can (menendez1293) and that gave me an idea. I was fortunate enough to have SS4PK pay it forward a roll of red oxide self fusing silicone tape. So i used that to wrap the hoses for my catch can for now until I can find some black braided hoses.

Well finally got around to changing out my DRL for LEDs. It took me so long because I had to jack up the car and take off my front driver side wheel since my APEX washer bottle attached to my scoop was in the way. The only trouble I seemed to have was getting in the passenger side LED. One of the prongs was bent a little and it was hard to get it but I eventually got it and everything works good. It is amazing how much of a difference these make to the look of the car. I like them a lot, I just need to get the DRL harness now to keep them on when my headlights come on. Here are some pics.

Also here is a little teaser pic of one of my up-coming mods will be.

This mod turned out to be a huge disaster haha, I blow at painting things.

Also I took out my spare, jack-stand and all those goodies. I managed to drop 47.1lbs. So far I have roughly lost about 77lbs. on the car. Assuming the weight on my title included the spare and such my car right now weighs about 3672lbs. With the factory crank hp that puts my W/P ratio at 11.77. Going off stock rwhp that puts my W/P at 15.3 based off the 240rwhp average of everyone else. I would love to actually get my car dynod to find out my current rwhp but I don't feel like paying $150 for 3 runs. But after removing the spare and such my car def seems to be quicker. I have also been thinking about removing the rear seat too just for when I go to the track but idk how much of a hassle it would be to take off and put back in since my camaro is my DD. Any thoughts on that are appreciated.

So finally went to the track to do some 1/4mile runs. I didn't know what to expect since I have never done anything like that before but it was a lot of fun. I managed to get in 5 runs before I had to leave to go to work. My fastest time was 14.7151@96.33. That was my slowest reaction time of the day and I thought i would be able to get atleast 14.5 but my last two runs I had no such luck got 14.7999@95.74 and then 14.7902@96.37. Taking D.A into account my fastest run is 14.373@98.677. But man that was really fun. Going into it i was pretty scared I thought I would be THAT guy that messes up there car and stops everyone else, luckily I wasn't. Also I def need new rear tires now, they were pretty worn out before today. Also I am car 5L.

I used this calculator: http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php
