Muffler shop in DFW area?

Anyone know of a good muffler shop in the Lewisville/Denton/Ft.Worth area? I want to get some pricing on possibly doing a Muffler Delete w/X-Pipe as a temp fix while I save up for a full exhaust.

Thanks....

Called Brian already. He quoted me $350 for muffler delete and Magnaflow x-pipe.

From what I've read on different threads that's a little on the high side. Of course what I've seen aren't local prices but others are getting the same thing done in the $250 - $275 range or even less. Plus he is about 45 min away from me.

I'm hoping to find it a little cheaper without having to drive so far. If not I'll be going to Brian once I take posession of my car.

Any other suggestions?

WOW, seems pretty steep! I'm going to have this exact same thing done, and could very well be in the DFW area soon so I'm interested in this as well.

Pronto Muffler in Plano on 75, not too far to get there from where you are if you take the bush. They have always been resonable for custom stuff like you are talking about.

I think I remember reading that total cost for everything was about $160. This was buying the x-pipe (mine cost $83.xx) and taking it to a shop to have the mufflers removed and the x-pipe installed.

Yep....confirmed $80 for the muffler delete. He said $120 for Magnaflow X-pipe but he basically laughed at the idea of the x-pipe. He thought that I would be wasting my money and that it wouldn't do anything. I kind of disagree on that one.

I didn't ask but I'm assuming that includes using the factory tips.

Hyp....did he re-use the factory tips on yours?

Is he wanting to charge you that much to purchase the x-pipe, or is that for purchase+install, or what exactly?

From my understanding the $120 was complete (parts & labor).

Pronto wanted $80 for x-pipe install if I supplied the X-Pipe. He said they stopped using Magnaflow products due to quality issues they were having.

$80 is a hell of a deal. Being all labor there shouldn't be any tax. I might drive straight from Classic Chevy to them the day I get my car. If not I'll probably be on my way over within the next day or so.
