heat extractors.

from the looks of things, the hoods that we saw originally on the red (and I think blue) cars, had both the heat extractors AND the scoop in front.

I think GM was saving a little r&d money and built both features into one hood. hence the 2 piece hood bra. these new pics show just the heat extractors without the front scoop. I'm sure we'll see a hood with just the scoop and no heat extractors. I'm also curious about the under hood pics from the other spy shots that have the 3 "slots" towards the rear of the cowl. looks like they could be cut open to form heat extractors as well

only time will tell

Looking good!

I know I will not be able to afford a "new" one but still can't wait to see these babies on the road. The SS was at the top of my transportation budget.

I don't really get the camo wraps. Does it have to do with construing the photos? Becasue if I was going to try to hide the vechicle from the masses, why not just surround it with several modded SS Camaros. Nobody would be the wiser! This has test vechicle "STAMPED" all over it!

I hope that is not the final hood. I was hoping for something more aggressive.

Hood Scoop Dilemma Solved

TF2 Hoood will be with base Z28 Motor with 600 published HP.

The Heat Extractor Hood version will be with the Optional 670 HP Version. Of course version 2 comes with the Recaro seats and Roll bar.

LSA not LS9. Don't think GM would put out a Camaro with a higher HP than the ZR1.

She reminds me of the Donohue car. Nasty front splitter and a nice trunk spoiler.

Is it crazy for me to have thoughts about trading my Z06 for one on these?

EDIT: OOPS, posted under my bro's account. It's Obzidian!

That hood's got to go. Hope like hell that won't be the production hood. Ugly piece of work right there.

Interesting thought. The Z06 is a remarkable automobile. From a pure performance standpoint the answer would be no. From many other perspectives the answer would be very different. The Vette is snug. Many, myself included like to have a bit more elbow room. If you only have yourself an a special guest to drive around the extra Camaro seats are a waste of space. If you want to bring a third special guest and have GREAT performance the Camaro is highly viable alternative.

I have three kids. That makes my Camaro the preferred choice over a Vette and a higher performance version would make that choice even more attractive.

Personally,i would like to see ducting behind the front wheels like you might expect to see on all 'Hot' versions of an already hot car, just to set it apart from the 'Base' range.
