Help! Need information on Vortech

Hey guys. I'm not really new to the board. Just new to posting. But I'm posting bc I don't know anyone around Gainesville, Fl who can change the oil in my vortech supercharger! It'd be nice if I could figure it out but I can't either lol. Any advice would be great!

Open the drain line, drain it out, refill with vortech oil until dip stick reads correctly.

I cant go by the dipstick on my Paxton. Paxton told me because of the way the SC is clocked on my kit its not going to read right so I just drain and fill with 4oz every time I change my engine oil. Dipstick useful only to make sure theres some in it lol. It shows full with 2oz....

To find the drain, simply locate the braided steel line at the bottom of the blower and follow it until you get to the end. You'll need two wrenches to open it. One to actually open the plug and the other to hold the counter in place so you can break open the plug. It's not worth the money to pay someone else to do it. Do you have the oil that came with the kit?

what everyone else has said...you can do it. Its easy. Get the oil from Vortech if you don't have any. Wipe the dipstick clean after you check it...thread all the way in, let it sit just a second, then remove to check. considering you are filling the drain line too I wanna say its a bottle total. I usually let mine drip for an hour or so to empty it, if not longer.

If you want, I have one extra bottle. I swapped over to a YSi which isn't self-contained, so if you want this extra bottle, send me you info and I'll get it out for you.
