4" tips?
will 4" tips fit on the stock v6 rear diffuser without having to worry about it melting?

The answer is still yes. The SS has 3.7" tips and it has plenty of clearance. Many SSs have 5" tips.
And if your tips melt something you have an underlying problem elsewhere.

I'm running 4" magnaflow tips. Just be sure you center them well and run them an inch or two past the diffusor and you will be fine.

The ARK DT-S exhaust has 4.5" tips and fits in my v6 diffuser, no melting even with headers and supercharger.
